About Us

Forest Hill A.M.E. was organized as a Charter Church and held its first service on November 27, 1983. The church leased temporary quarters at the Forest Hill Community Center until fire damaged it. On October 26, 1984, members signed a contract to purchase the building of our current location at 3629 Knox Street.

Our pastor, Rev. Bruce M. Whitted is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He is a gifted teacher, a man of God, a dynamic preacher, and in his humbling ways has brought Stewardship and Tithing to a new level here at our church.

FHAME’s focus is on family and helping others. We invite you to join us at any service and experience the movement of the Holy Spirit through song, prayer, fellowship and the preached word. We as disciples are set on a journey for the Lord… not our agenda, but God’s agenda. It’s all about Jesus!!!!
